SVEn [zeggen wij] niet [liever] (gelijk wij gelasterd worden, en gelijk sommigen zeggen, dat wij zeggen): Laat ons het kwade doen, opdat het goede [daaruit] kome? Welker verdoemenis rechtvaardig is.

ASVand why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), Let us do evil, that good may come? whose condemnation is just.
BELet us not do evil so that good may come (a statement which we are falsely said by some to have made), because such behaviour will have its right punishment.

Darbyand not, according as we are injuriously charged, and according as some affirm that we say, Let us practise evil things, that good ones may come? whose judgment is just.

LSGEt pourquoi ne ferions-nous pas le mal afin qu'il en arrive du bien, comme quelques-uns, qui nous calomnient, prétendent que nous le disons? La condamnation de ces gens est juste.
Peshܐܘ ܕܠܡܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܓܕܦܝܢ ܥܠܝܢ ܘܐܡܪܝܢ ܕܐܡܪܝܢܢ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܕܢܐܬܝܢ ܛܒܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܕܝܢܗܘܢ ܢܛܝܪ ܗܘ ܠܟܐܢܘܬܐ ܀
SchMüßte man dann nicht so reden, wie wir verleumdet werden und wie etliche behaupten, daß wir sagen: «Lasset uns Böses tun, damit Gutes daraus komme»? Ihre Verurteilung ist gerecht!
